Crisis Nursery's 8th annual luncheon was held at the Arizona Biltmore Resort on Tuesday, October 25th.
Almost 800 attendees were moved by features on the number of supplies needed to care for 1,000 children - how many are cared for by Crisis Nursery a year, on average - as well as a memorial of the children lost to abuse in Maricopa County.
Cory Moreno, who connected with his foster parents through Crisis Nursery, sang "Hero."
Cindy Rust, a pediatric nurse practitioner and volunteer, told of the children she's cared for, including one that was isolated in a room by his guardians and had limited social skills.

The Luncheon was held on Tuesday, October 19th at the Camelback Inn and was the 7th annual one for Crisis Nursery.
Nearly 700 attendees were uplifted by watching "a Wish, a Hope and a Dream" video that outlined the Crisis Nursery's programs and services.
Shawn and Molly, foster parents, told the audience about how they became foster parents for story about becoming foster parents for Josh.
Approximately over $280,000 was raised - equal or greater to the previous year.
