A Healthy Families “Hope for the Holidays” Activity
Posted by irene | Filed under Uncategorized
Healthy Families prides itself on helping parents create positive bonding moments to share with their children. This holiday season some parents and children were asked to work on a craft project, not only to build on the child’s developmental skills and foster teamwork between family members, but to give back to their local community by helping raise awareness to the fundraising campaign of Crisis Nursery.
Families were each asked to create a gingerbread man. Parents were responsible for assisting with glue while each child was given the opportunity to pick their gingerbread man, select the eyes, and pick out his colored buttons. Together, parents and children created gingerbread men that joined hands with other family’s creations to design a Hope for the Holidays garland for Crisis Nursery.
