A Healthy Families “Hope for the Holidays” Activity

Healthy Families prides itself on helping parents create positive bonding moments to share with their children. This holiday season some parents and children were asked to work on a craft project, not only to build on the child’s developmental skills and foster teamwork between family members, but to give back to their local community by helping raise awareness to the fundraising campaign of Crisis Nursery.

Toys, clothes and food donations are always helpful for deserving charities during the holidays. But Arizona Fotthills wants to help with Shoes- something all kids need and many people forget to give.

At Bookmans Phoenix and Bookmans Mesa, kids and parents worked together this last Saturday and helped create two super awesome garlands that we are very happy to be donating to the Crisis Nursery facility in downtown Phoenix and the Marcus House in Mesa.
The Long AZ Walk will be in Phoenix on Saturday, November 14th. Come out and celebrate with us.

Joel Anderson and Steve McClellan, fire fighters with the Phoenix Fire Department, & Joe Kuiken are committed to raising awareness and funds for Crisis Nursery by walking 415 miles across Arizona. Their walk is called The Long AZ Walk. They will be celebrating the midway point of the walk at Crisis Nursery and they want you to come out and to celebrate with them.
