Fronia and Debra: Two of Santa’s Amazing
Posted by irene | Filed under Uncategorized

Some people mark the beginning of the ‘Holiday Season’ by fall weather, holiday merchandise popping up in stores or ‘festive’ music on your favorite radio station. For many of us here at Crisis Nursery, this time of year truly does not start until Fronia Knobel and Debra Butler appear at our door.
For you see Fronia and her daughter, Debra, collect new items for our kids all year long. They have faithfully done so year after year. These two dedicated ladies shop til they drop for an entire year. They stretch their dollars by never missing a sale, store closing or any opportunity to purchase items at a discount. Fronia and Debra store all these items until their rooms are bursting at the seams. At that moment, they load up their vehicles and bring their entire donation to Crisis Nursery.
They come, bearing car loads of clothes, toys, games, shoes, underwear, backpacks and the list goes on and on. Our staff helps to carry all the items into the lobby and everyone is filled with anticipation of what Fronia and Debra have collected this year.
Their generosity is so overwhelming that it brings tears to our eyes. Fronia and Debra are dedicated to the children of Crisis Nursery. Without this pair, the Holiday season just wouldn’t be the same for not only the children at Crisis Nursery but those of us who get to witness this event year after year. It never ceases to amaze us. “Thank you” are two very simple words that cannot even begin to convey what Fronia and Debra mean to all of us here at Crisis Nursery.
