Crisis Nursery Bilingual Early Head Start Floating Teacher

Crisis Nursery Early Head Start provides high quality care and education for infants and toddlers who are at risk for child abuse and neglect.  We are currently seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Floating Teacher who will provide support to our toddler classrooms, fill in when teachers are on vacation or sick, provide an extra hand whenever needed, provide extended day care, and do some administrative and center support duties as well.

Requirements:

A minimum of an Infant/Toddler CDA or an Associates Degree (AA) and 1 year of experience with infants and/or toddlers is required. Within degree coursework, at least 12 college credits must be related to infant/toddler development.  Candidates must have flexibility and excellent communication skills.  Bilingual, English/Spanish is required.

Crisis Nursery Early Head Start, a high-quality early childhood education program for children at risk of child abuse and neglect, has an immediate opening for a bilingua assistant l teacher to provide quality early care and education services to children 12 months to three years of age. We maintain a 4:1 ratio and have eight children and two teachers in each of our six classrooms. Crisis Nursery is a non-profit organization located in Phoenix whose mission is to stop the cycle of child abuse and neglect.

Crisis Nursery Bilingual Early Head Start Family Support Specialist

Crisis Nursery Early Head Start, a high-quality early childhood education program for children at risk of child abuse and neglect, has an immediate opening for a bilingual family support specialist. Crisis Nursery is a non-profit organization located in Phoenix whose mission is to stop the cycle of child abuse and neglect.

The FSS plans, coordinates and provides social work, home visiting and case management services to high needs families and pregnant moms with focus on the parent(s) as central to the child's development in all areas: physical, emotional, social/behavioral and Intellectual. Caseloads will be mixed between families whose children participate in the Center Based Program and families and their children who participate in the Home Based Program.

Job requirements include:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field of human services or education,
  • At least one year of Child Development Home Visiting Experience,
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in direct service delivery to children and families involving: high mental health needs, domestic violence, substance abuse and other challenges,
  • Knowledge of child development and parenting skills,
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills and computer proficiency, and
  • All candidates MUST be able to speak, read, and write English and Spanish.

Substitute Child Development Provider

Crisis Nursery has openings for substitute (on-call) Child Development Providers at our Children's Shelter. This position assists in providing a safe, nurturing place for children (birth through 8yrs) who have recently experienced crisis or emergencies in their lives.

Successful candidates will be able to complete a two week paid training course, pass a pre-employment drug screen, pre-employment physical, have valid AZ driver's license and obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card. Additionally, candidates must have one year of paid childcare experience and high school diploma or GED.
