Shelter Services

Crisis Nursery has provided shelter to children throughout Maricopa County for the more than 33 years. Our locations include the following:

Children's Shelter:  A 21 bed shelter located at E. 2711 Roosevelt Ave. on the grounds of Marciopa Medical.

Marcus House:  A six bed shelter located in Central Phoenix for children in sibling groups who have extended stays with Crisis Nursery. (Placement to this location is determined by Crisis Nursery)

Children are referred to our shelters in one of two ways:

  1. Parents bring their children for temporary respite from an overwhelming crisis
  2. Through placement by Arizona Child Protective Services (CPS) or the Gila River Indian Community (GRIC) after being removed from their home due to abuse or neglect.
Regardless of the reason for placement, each child receives comprehensive care.
